Commercial Switchboards is the specialist switchboard division of SEQ Sparky Pty Ltd, based in Brisbane. We deliver main switchboard upgrades, industrial switchboards and MCCs, HV switchboards and substations, supply upgrades and CT metering, switchboard thermal imaging, repairs and emergency response and ongoing switchboard maintenance across Queensland.
Our work is organised in tiers based on travel distance, site complexity and scope.
Brisbane is our base. We deliver switchboard upgrades, MCC builds, HV substation work, supply upgrades, thermal imaging and ongoing maintenance contracts to commercial and industrial sites across Brisbane CBD, North Brisbane, South Brisbane, East Brisbane and West Brisbane, plus the surrounding councils of Logan, Ipswich, Redland City and Moreton Bay.
Reference projects in this zone include Crestmead Central Shopping Centre (Logan), Mount Cotton Central (Redland) and Stones Corner Shopping Precinct (Brisbane inner south), alongside ongoing maintenance contracts across multi-tenant retail and commercial sites.
We regularly travel to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim for switchboard project work. Travel time is factored into project scoping rather than charged at premium rates. Typical SEQ projects fit inside our standard delivery model.
For multi-site portfolios where a body corporate, retail landlord, aged care operator or facility manager has assets spread across SEQ, we structure delivery to coordinate across sites where it makes commercial sense.
Regional Queensland work is delivered by arrangement. Wide Bay, Central Queensland, Far North Queensland and Western Queensland sites are within scope where the project size and scope justify the travel and accommodation logistics.
For multi-stage regional switchboard programs we typically batch sites into a single mobilisation window to keep travel efficient and predictable.
Reference Project
Anthony brings 10+ years of underground and open-cut mine switchboard experience. That includes three years as senior shift electrician at Lady Loretta Mine in North West Queensland and twelve months delivering the electrical infrastructure for a greenfield open-cut gold mine in central Africa.

Reference Project
Full electrical scope including multi-generator power plant, wash plants, conveyors, VSDs across the site and complete base build infrastructure (accommodation village, mess, workshops, compounds, communications, offices). Twelve months of design and international procurement preceded mobilisation, with site visits to multiple countries to inspect equipment before order.
International scope is reserved for major works only and is not part of our day-to-day service offering.
